Grow West Derby.
Grow West Derby is a local community project set up to enable Liverpool West Derby constituents to access good quality food whilst learning new skills and being involved in building a project with others in our community.
About Grow West Derby.
Grow West Derby is a local community project which I have set up to support Liverpool West Derby constituents in accessing good quality food. It offers opportunities to learn new skills and be involved a building a project with others in our community.
The initiative links up with Marlborough allotments and Myerscough College to support residents to grow their own food and supply local food pantries with any excess food they produce.
Myerscough College will provide education on basic food growing skills, either virtually or on the allotment site for practical sessions. There will also be education and advice on nutrition and the health implications of food on our DNA, which will be delivered in a series of virtual sessions by specialists from Alder Hey Hospital.
All Liverpool West Derby residents are warmly invited to get involved in this initiative, from planting and clearing to collecting food, acting as a collection point or following our projects.
